Photos from a TUFT ARTS cave performance
TUFT Arts are a relatively new multidisciplinary performance collective, comprised of experienced performers, artists and producers like Ellie Westbrook and Charlotte Tingley. Their most recent performance was at St Clements Caves in Hastings, where they illuminated the dark, historic space with well considered lighting and stunning vocals. It was really quite special. In The Dangling Man bar, Jim and team served delicious and beautifully presented Pinchos and Dark & Stormy cocktails. Artois was there selling his Grotte God t-shirt, an ode to the mysterious deity carved into one of the caves walls. This was my second time photographing in the ultra dark, slighty spooky but highly atmospheric environment of Hastings’ St Clements Caves, which are normally used to house a wax-work history of smuggling in the area. I was super happy to be there and to be witness to more of Hastings’ unique creativity.
